As your photographer, my goal is to tell your unique story through a curated collection of images.
Why I Choose the Images:
Expertise in Lighting and Composition: Each image is chosen for its technical excellence, including proper lighting, composition, and focus. These elements are crucial in creating visually stunning and emotionally impactful photographs. When culling through your raw images it is my job to carefully select the ones that meet these criteria.
Capturing the Best Moments: I select images that best capture the essence of the event and the emotions of the moment. This includes candid expressions, spontaneous interactions, and special details that contribute to the overall narrative.
Cohesive Storytelling: The images in your gallery are curated to create a cohesive story that reflects the spirit and uniqueness of your day. I carefully consider the flow and sequence of the images to ensure a harmonious and engaging viewing experience.
Quality Over Quantity: By focusing on the best images, I ensure that your gallery is a showcase of the best readable images. This approach not only highlights the most memorable moments but also respects your time and attention.

Gallery Timeline/Expiration:
Please be aware that the beautifully edited digital gallery links provided have an expiration period. To safeguard your access to these images, it's recommended to download them to your phone or computer in the allotted 15-30 days.
Additionally, please note that I do not retain photos that are over 4 Months old, so it's advisable to save & store them promptly.
Photographer Style Information:
I specialize in natural light photography, which means my primary focus is on outdoor settings that showcase the beauty of the world around us. I thrive in the open air, capturing the essence of my subjects amidst the backdrop of nature's finest.
However, when it comes to intimate boudoir sessions or cozy lifestyle shoots, I'm equally at ease working in the comfort of your home or studio. My style leans towards candid, authentic moments, steering clear of artificial studio setups. If you're looking for those, though, I'd be delighted to connect you with some fantastic photographers who excel in those domains!

Contracts
With every single package a contract is required!
This not only keeps everything well documented about what you're wanting from your session but, it keeps both the client and photographer safe. Contracts ensure clarity and protect both parties by outlining the details of the agreement, including when the session is, payment terms, and expectations. They provide a clear understanding of what is agreed upon, helping to prevent misunderstandings and ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
Deposits & Payment Plans
A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place in my books. 50% of your session total is required down while booking. Having spots book up fast means my wonderful clients may have to wait for a while for an open spot! This guarantees that your session is yours and yours alone and if a cancellation is a must that as the photographer we don't have to worry if a sudden cancellation occurs. We offer flexible payment plans for your convenience. After paying the initial non-refundable deposit, you can choose to break up the remaining balance into weekly or monthly payments, depending on how far in advance your session is scheduled. Please note all payments must be cleared within 72 hours of your session.

At Simply Willson Photography, we prioritize clear and open communication. We understand that emergencies can arise, including childcare issues and illness; however for the rest of the situations, we ask that all rescheduling requests be made at least one week in advance to give us the opportunity to potentially refill your time slot. There is a $50 rescheduling fee for any changes made within this timeframe & your session balance will just transfer to another date.
Please note that if a cancellation is made within 72 hours of the session, the entire session payment will be forfeited, and client will need to start the booking process again. Additionally, I'd like to note deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, as we invest significant time in planning and arranging childcare for your session.
No-shows will incur penalties, including an inability to book with us for a full calendar year. Furthermore, clients who cancel three times in a row/reschedule 3 times in a row will also be unable to book for a full calendar year. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to provide a seamless experience for all our clients. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your booking, please feel free to reach out!

As my business continues to grow, I’m intentionally leaning into the work that truly fuels my creativity and lights me up. Moving forward, my primary focus will be on portraiture, couples, elopements, and boudoir , spaces where connection, emotion, and storytelling feel the most aligned with my heart and artistic vision.
I will always cherish the families who have trusted me over the years, and I’m happy to continue working with my returning family clients. At this time, however, I am not taking on new family sessions, as I refine and refocus the direction of my work.
I have also made the thoughtful decision to retire large weddings, product photography, business branding, and event coverage. While these sessions have been an important part of my journey, they require a level of structure and scale that no longer aligns with how I want to create and serve. My goal is to offer work that allows for deeper connection, presence, and intentional artistry — both for my clients and for myself.

Let's dive into our policies & some additional information !
Policy info
As the photographer, I retain the copyright to all images I create. This means that I have the legal right to use the photos for my portfolio, website, social media, and promotional materials. However, I also provide you with a personal use license, which allows you to print, share, and enjoy the images for your own personal use. If you're interested in using the images for commercial purposes, such as for business promotion or marketing, a separate commercial license can be arranged.
How do you handle image copyright and usage rights?
I am not a "traveling photographer" but, I do work in the areas within approximately two and a half hours or less of my based town of Davison MI.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! If we need to break your payments up into weekly payments I am more than happy to assist with that! Note all payments must be cleared and received 48-72 hours before the service date. Simply Willson Photography does not accept cash for sessions.
